Dec. County Unemployment

County unemployment rates for the month of December show the rates decreased in 77 counties, increased in 7 counties and stayed the same in 11 counties.
Warren County’s December unemployment rate was 3.2 percent, down from the November rate of 3.5. The rate one year ago was 4.8 percent.
White County’s unemployment rate for December was 3.3 percent, down from the November rate of 3.5. White County’s rate a year ago was 5.6 percent.
Van Buren County’s unemployment went from 4.1 to 3.7 percent. Coffee County went from 3.3 to 3.0 percent. DeKalb went from 4.2 to 3.9 percent. Grundy County went from 4.6 to 4.3 percent. Cannon County went from 3.1 to 2.8 percent.
Williamson County had the state’s lowest unemployment rate at 2.2 percent, while Rhea County had the highest at 5.6 percent.
