Two Morrison residents were arrested in Coffee County this week after leading Manchester Police in a high-speed chase in a vehicle that had been reported stolen out of Warren County.
Police say 34 year old Russell Lee Asbury and 19 year old Erika Canuto were seen removing items from the Manchester Walmart and leaving in the vehicle. When police tried to pull them over, Asbury drove the vehicle north on Highway 41 before the vehicle became disabled at a Manchester business. Asbury tried to flee on foot, but was captured.
Both were charged with theft of property and shoplifting. Asbury faces other charges as well.
