The full Warren County Commission Monday night passed a resolution rescinding a measure that limited consecutive appointments to the Board of Equalization, the Airport Zoning Committee, the Airport Board of Zoning Appeals and the Warren County Airport Commission. According to the resolution, commissioners felt it was in the best interest of the county that knowledgeable and experienced persons not be excluded from consideration to fill positions on the boards, although new appointees will be considered whenever available.
In other business, the commission accepted the resignation of Judicial Commissioner Ervin White.
Also Monday night, Commissioner Blaine Wilcher assured citizens that the Warren County Animal Control and Adoption Center will not be closing. This was in reference to recent comments by Health and Welfare Committee Chairman Michael Martin, who suggested the center be closed to free up money for other needs.
