One person was injured in a two-vehicle crash on the Nashville Highway Monday night. According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, a Buick Sedan, driven by 18 year old Jason MacNatt was attempting to turn on to Pigeon Hill Road when it was rear-ended by a Freightliner truck, driven by 44 year old Michael Bratcher. The truck went across a ditch, hit an embankment and came to rest in a field. The Buick somehow spun around and came to rest behind the truck.
Bratcher was injured in the crash and was airlifted to Vanderbilt Hospital. MacNatt and his passenger escaped injury. The investigating trooper said a seatbelt would have lessened Bratcher’s injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
