Gov. Bill Haslam has signed the bill allowing for wine and liquor sales on Sundays in Tennessee.
The new law is effective immediately, meaning liquor stores can start selling this upcoming Sunday between 10 a.m. and 11 p.m.
Grocery stores will not be able to sell alcohol on Sundays until Jan. 6. At that time, wine can be sold between 10 a.m. and 11 p.m.
Retail package stores will have to immediately begin “marking up” the price of spirits by 10 percent.
Liquor stores will not be able to conduct sales on Christmas, Thanksgiving or Easter.
