A McMinnville man is facing numerous charges in Coffee County after leading Manchester Police on a foot chase Friday night. Police were called to a motel parking lot in Manchester when a motel employee told officers a man appeared to be trying to sell drugs. Police say 36 year old Jason Lee Biles of McMinnville ran when he saw the officers and was dropping items as he ran. He was eventually taken into custody. Police say a search of the vehicle Biles had been driving turned up a 357 magnum handgun, a box of shells, small bags containing a white powdery substance and drug paraphernalia.
Biles was charged with evading arrest, unlawful possession of a weapon resisting arrest and various drug charges.
There was also an active warrant out of Warren County.
His bond was set at $17,000. He will appear in Coffee County court on May 22nd.
