March County Unemployment

County unemployment numbers for March show the unemployment rate decreased in 82 counties, increased in four counties and stayed the same in nine counties.
Warren County’s unemployment rate for March was 3.8 percent, down slight from the February rate of 3.9. The rate one year ago was 4.1 percent.
White County’s unemployment rate for March was 3.5 percent, down from 3.7 in February. White County’s rate a year ago was 4.3 percent.
Van Buren County’s unemployment went up slightly from 4.2 to 4.3 prcent. Coffee County stayed the same at 3.5 percent. DeKalb County went from 4.6 to 4.3 percent. Grundy County went from 4.4 to 4.2 percent. Cannon County went from 2.9 to 3.1 percent.
Williamson County had the state’s lowest unemployment rate at 2.5 percent, while Houston County and Bledsoe County had the highest, each at 5.8 percent.
