A Coffee County Deputy and a Tennessee State Trooper were injured Saturday when an 18-wheeler collided with their vehicles as they worked the scene of a separate accident on I-24 in Manchester.
Authorities say Trooper Adam Malone and Deputy Mike Smith were treated for minor injuries and released from the hospital.
The crash took place near the 112 eastbound mile marker, but a portion of the 18-wheeler landed in the outside lane westbound. The two occupants of the truck were not injured.
