Rain showers Saturday night may have affected the turnout for the annual Back to the Strip event, but many still showed up to raise money for Meals on Wheels. Because of the wet weather last Saturday, organizers say they will try it again this coming Saturday to give everyone who wanted to participate a chance to do so.
Meanwhile, McMinnville Police report that 23 traffic stops were made at Saturday’s event. Of those traffic stops, 18 tickets were issued. 11 were for adult seat belts, 2 for child restraints, 2 for texting and driving, 1 for careless driving, 1 for no driver’s license and 1 for no insurance. There were also two warnings issued for drivers doing burnouts.
