The McMinnville Board of Mayor and Aldermen will meet Tuesday night in regular session. The board will consider a resolution to name the walking trails connecting Hobbs Park and Rocket Park the Bigbee River Trail in honor of Dr. Wallace Bigbee, Sr.
The board will consider an ordinance to amend the Municipal Code to indicate the hotel motel tax levy will increase to 5 percent beginning July 1st. Another ordinance will direct all money collected on the hotel motel tax to be paid to the Tourism Development Board.
The board will consider a measure to amend an ordinance which appropriates funds to non-profits by increasing appropriated funds to the Chamber of Commerce by $7,100 to be used for tourism.
The meeting will begin at 7pm at City Hall. It will be preceded by a meeting of the Streets and Sanitation Committee meeting at 6:40.
