One person was airlifted to a Chattanooga hospital Thursday after being injured in a two-vehicle crash. It happened on Highway 8 atop Harrison Ferry Mountain.
Injured were 19 year old Braxton Moody and his passenger, 18 year old Noah Pedigo.
According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Moody was driving his vehicle west bound on Highway 8 when the vehicle crossed the center line and sideswiped an oncoming semi, driven by 41 year old Michael Scates of Sale Creek. Scates was not injured.
The Moody vehicle came to rest on its top. Moody was airlifted from the scene to Erlanger Hospital. Pedigo was transported to River Park Hospital.
The crash remains under investigation.
