The long-awaited new National Guard Armory will finally become a reality in Warren County. Officials have approved $10.5 million for construction of the new armory on Highway 55, west of McMinnville.
The project has been in the works since 2012 and the funding was just recently approved. The land was purchased in 2011 and deeded to the state.
The current armory is said to be one of the oldest in the state.
