Two people were killed Monday morning in a one-vehicle crash in DeKalb County. The victims were identified as 56 year old Michael A. Murphy and 50 year old Angela Sue Burke of Liberty, Tn.
According to the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Murphy was driving a 1995 Dodge Dakota eastbound on Old Mill Hill Road when the vehicle went off the road, over an embankment, and hit a tree. A preliminary report suggests that Murphy may have died from health conditions not related to the crash. An autopsy will be conducted.
A motorcycle rider found the bodies and called 911.
