Jimmy Haley will move from the McMinnville Mayor’s office to that of Warren County Executive. Haley carried nearly every precinct as he garnered 55.5 percent of the vote to defeat Terry Bell, Ray Hixson and Allie Marie Hyatt. With Haley changing offices, Vice-Mayor Ben Newman will serve as Mayor until the November election.
The County Commission will see a shake-up with several newcomers coming on board. They include Christie Ross, Robert Hennessee, Joseph Stotts, David Dunlap, Lori Judkins, Deborah Evans, Steven Helton, Cole Taylor, Steve Glenn, Michael Bell, and Daniel Owens.
On the School Board, James Bennett defeated Andy Link and Sue Anderson defeated James T. Jacobs. Helen Martin was unopposed in her re-election bid.
In contested races for Constable, Louis Battles was elected in District 9, Mark Stewart was elected in District 11 and Matthew Bratch was elected in District 12.
