The McMinnville Police Department will be hosting its annual Citizens Police Academy beginning Tuesday, September 18th, running for 7 weeks. The classes give citizens an insight into police operations and knowledge that is helpful to the law abiding citizen. Classes begin at 6 pm and last about 2 hours. Most classes are at the McMinnville Police Department located on 204 Red Road.
Classes include Drug Enforcement, Self Defense, Police Communications, Domestic Violence, Firearms, Traffic Enforcement and Jury Trial. Police Ride- alongs are also part of the program.
Applicants must be 18 and Warren County Residents. Applications are available at the police department or by calling (931) 473-3808 from 8 am until 4:30 pm.
