Independence Day in Warren County

Happy Independence Day! The 4th of July Celebration is how the city of McMinnville honors all of the brave men and women who have fought for our country since the first Independence Day.  Bring your family downtown on the morning of the fourth of July to learn more about history, enjoy live entertainment, and celebrate.

Junior Auxiliary of McMinnville once again presents the 4th of July Yankee Doodle Parade in Downtown; registration is at 8:30am, lineup is at 9:15am, and the parade starts at 9:30. The parade is open to kids aged from birth to 5th grade. There will be prizes for each age group and multiple entries are welcome. Please decorate your bike, scooter, stroller, or self to join the parade.

Mr. & Miss Stars and Stripes will once again take place inside the historic Park Theater at 11:30am, with categories for boys 0-4years, girls 0-9 years, Casual, Sunday, or Patriotic attire. There is a $25 entry fee.

The night festivities culminate with the Freedom Fest Celebration at the Milner Recreation Center, 500 Garfield Street. Festivities including food trucks and kids zone start at 5pm with dazzling fireworks at 9pm. This event is presented by First National Bank of Middle Tennessee and Ben Lomand Connect.
