Proposal to Display National Motto in Schools

A Tennessee bill is aiming to get the nation’s motto prominently displayed in schools.
The bill would enact the “National Motto in the Classroom Act,” which requires each local education agency to display the national motto, “In God We Trust,” in a prominent location in each school.
It’s sponsored by Rep. Susan Lynn and has passed on first consideration.
