Tennessee lawmakers are considering a bill that would allow for the retail sale of wine on Sundays. If passed, consumers could buy wine during the same hours and days as beer. Sunday wine sales are estimated to boost revenue by more than $1 million. The money generated would fund a scholarship program to provide access to pre-kindergarten for children from low income families. Wine sales became legal in Tennessee grocery stores in July of 2016.
