Voters are heading to the polls Tuesday for the county primary election. The polls will be open from 8am-7pm.
No Republican candidates on the primary ballot are opposed. However, Democratic candidates will face opposition in the races for Sheriff, Register of Deeds, Circuit Court Clerk, and County Commission Districts 1, 7, 10 and 11.
The county general election will be held in August. Independent candidates will appear on the August ballot along with the Republican and Democratic nominees.
