The Warren County Pioneer baseball team opens district tournament play Monday night with game one of a best-of-three series with the White County Warriors. The Pioneers will host game one Monday night at 6pm at Warren County High School. Game two is Tuesday night at Sparta and game three, if necessary, will be played in Warren County. All tournament games involving the Pioneers will be broadcast live on 1230 WAKI.
In softball action, the Lady Pioneers opened their district tournament Friday night with a win over Rhea County 9-1 at Sparta. The Lady Pioneers will play again Tuesday night at 7pm against either Cookeville or White County.
