It appears the stretch of Main Street from West Colville to High Street may be closed off on Friday nights during the Main Street Live concert series. City officials last month discussed what options would be available to make the street safer for those who attend the concerts. Officials requested an opinion from the Tennessee Department of Transportation, who indicated the city could close it off as long as the city took responsibility for it.
If the street is closed off, traffic will be re-routed to West Colville during the concert.
