Following the recent controversy surrounding a committee chairman, the full Warren County Commission Monday night approved a list of new committee appointments, handed down by County Executive Hershel Wells.
Former Health and Welfare Committee Chairman Michael Martin has come under criticism for his actions Thursday night in removing the Animal Control Director from a committee meeting.
The newly-approved committee appointment list places Martin on the Budget and Finance Committee, He is no longer on the Health and Welfare Committee and does not chair any committees. Blaine Wilcher now chairs Health and Welfare.
The vote Monday night was 22 in favor of the appointments, Martin was opposed and Blaine Wilcher abstained from voting.
