May County Unemployment

Unemployment figures for the month of May shows the unemployment rate decreased in 8 counties, increased in 75 counties and stayed the same in 12 counties.
Warren County’s unemployment rate for May was 3.2 percent, a slight increase from the April rate of 3.0 percent. One year ago the rate was 3.4 percent.
White County’s unemployment rate for May was 3.1 percent, up from the April rate of 2.9. One year ago the rate was 3.6 percent.
Van Buren County’s unemployment went from 4.0 percent to 4.4. Coffee County went from 2.9 to 3.0 percent. DeKalb County went from 3.4 to 3.8 percent. Grundy County went from 3.6 to 3.7. Cannon County went from 2.5 to 2.7 percent.
Williamson County had the state’s lowest unemployment rate at 2.1 percent, while Lauderdale County had the highest at 5.3 percent.
