A sex offender is facing new charges of sexual exploitation of a minor, according to officials with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.
Officials say 52 year old Robert Steven McCormack of Rock Island, was arrested at his home on Monday.
He is charged with two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor stemming from two alleged incidents in May and July 2017.
McCormack is a previously convicted sex offender.
He is being held in the Van Buren County Jail in lieu of a $15,000 bond.
Special agents with the TBI assisted the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office and the TN Department of Correction Community Supervision Division with this investigation at the request of Van Buren Co. Sheriff Eddy Carter and 31st District Attorney General Lisa Zavogiannis.
