Myers Wins Close Race for Sheriff

Tommy Myers will succeed Jackie Matheny as Warren County Sheriff. Myers received 2,473 votes, edging out Marc Martin by only 72 votes. Rodney Whiles came in third with 2,225 votes.
Casi Powell Cantrell will be the new Circuit Court Clerk. She received 64.2 percent of the vote to defeat Chris Cope.
Wes Williams was elected Register of Deeds, receiving 59.6 percent of the vote. Danny Cummings came in second with 30.1 percent.
Darlene Bryant was re-elected as Trustee, getting 64 percent of the vote to Anita Nunley’s 35.8 percent.
