McMinnville Police are looking for the driver of an SUV that struck a pedestrian and left the scene, leaving the victim injured on the side of the road. It happened Sunday night on Bybee Branch Road near the Bybee Branch Church of Christ. Witnesses told police the vehicle initially stopped when it struck the pedestrian, then continued on. The victim was conscious and talking to paramedics when police arrived. He was transported to River Park Hospital.
Police say the SUV may have been a 2001-02 Mazda Tribune or a Ford Escape. Anyone who has any information on this incident is asked to call McMinnville Police at 473-3386.
