McMinnville Board

The McMinnville Board of Mayor and Aldermen this week passed on first reading the budget ordinance for the 2018-19 fiscal year. The budget calls for no increase in the tax rate. Second and final reading will be voted upon at the next meeting on August 28th.
In other business, the board voted in favor of a measure to name the Civic Center Tennis complex in honor of longtime tennis coach David Dunlap with a court to be named in memory of Jackson Dunlap.
The board also passed a resolution to enter into a contract with TDOT for assistance in construction of the proposed industrial access highway at Magness Drive and Highway 70.
