Teen Injured in Hit-and Run

Local authorities are looking for the driver of a hit-and-run vehicle that struck a pedestrian on the Nashville Highway Wednesday night. It happened just past Spring Valley Road on the outskirts of McMinnville.
Witnesses told police a dark colored vehicle was westbound on Nashville Highway when it struck a 17 year old male who was in a group of three people walking on the shoulder of the road.
Police say the vehicle in question will likely have a busted windshield as the road surface was littered with broken glass.
The victim was taken to St. Thomas River Park Hospital with numerous injuries. His name was not released as the investigation is ongoing.
